Resolution: 4 Architecture recently sent us a link to the pre-fab cabin they've designed for client, Chris Brown in Lost River, West Virginia. Mr. Brown intends on using this Mod wilderness get-away as a weekend place and a rental. We clicked over to his construction-diary blog to get the scoop on the progress. It's an interesting mix of photos, thoughts and information that anyone who dreams of going prefab will find very enlightening. The cabin has been built into the side of a hill as an integral part OF it and not ON it and features a very Usonian mix of wood siding and ribbons of windows to let in natural light. It will be interesting to see the finished product and see how the house is handled on the interior--that could make or break it. Check out the blog for yourself and Resolution: 4 Architecture's other projects--you may find something that might give you pre-fab fever.
