Originally designed in 1908 for Larkin Company executive, the Davidson House is one of Wright's earth-hugging Prairie School designs with many similarities to the Isabel Roberts House in River Forest, Illinois. Now, on your Wright-retreat to Buffalo to see the sights, you can stay in a bona fide FLW-designed dwelling to cap-off the experience. As described on their website:
The Walter V. Davidson House was built in the beautiful Parkside Neighborhood of Buffalo, New York. Frank Lloyd Wright's Darwin D. Martin House is within walking distance while the his William Heath House is a five minute ride away. Buffalo's beautiful Delaware Park - designed along with Buffalo's entire park system by Frederick Law Olmsted - is a short walk away. The Martin's summer home Graycliff designed by Frank Lloyd Wright is a 20 minute car ride along the shoreline of Lake Erie. The Albright-Knox art gallery, the Burchfield Penny art Gallery, the Buffalo and Erie County Historical Museum, downtown Buffalo, great restaurants and other attractions are all close by.
