It's Tuesday and odds are, you're already thinking about the weekend. If you live in or near Chicago, here are a couple of suggestions for cool things to do when the weekend finally gets here...
• The 17th annual International Vintage Poster Fair starts this weekend and runs through March 30th. Over 25 dealers from around the world will be displaying and selling museum quality posters and graphic ephemera for food, liquor, films, tourism and other advertising. The items date from the 1890s to the 1980s and range in style from Art Nouveau to Art Deco. Admission is $15. Hours are Saturday, 10 am to 7 pm; Sunday, 11 am to 6 pm. • The 14th Annual World's Fair Memorabilia Show is also happening this weekend on March 30. The Expo's main focus is on the 1933-34 Century of Progress World's Fair, but due to increased popularity, 1893 Columbian Exposition materials can also be found. Collectibles ranging from small buttons and postcards to posters and pinball machines can be found. Admission is $5. Hours are 10 am to 4 pm.
